Laura taught one of the first classes I attended at CSU Chico. Marketing 101, not earth-shattering subject matter and we all had to take it. My friends and I loved going to her class. It was inventive and engaging.
Laura and I became friends outside of class. One afternoon at her office hours we were solving the problems of the world, Laura mentioned that she thought that the most important thing some one could do was to make sure they consciously maintained their style of life.
Meaning that working in the business world could be tough but that as long as our quality of life was good we would be able to better enjoy our succeess at whatever we chose to pursue. That conversation has stuck with me for almost 20 years. Thank you Laura!
